About Me
I believe that we cope the best we can in life even if those coping skills feel maladaptive. I also believe that we all have the ability to heal and shift coping to feel more adaptive. My hope is that through internal work to understand our processes, our defenses and our protectors, our socialization and our messaging-we can better equip ourselves to navigate challenges and cope in ways that feel more adaptive, empowering, and fostering of our innate resilience. I believe in empathetic, nonjudgemental, relational work with individuals. I have over 16 years of experience as a therapist and provide space to process core areas that create current distress. I offer individual therapy for ages 18+. I identify as a mixed race, non binary therapist and welcome those looking for an affirming, brave space to explore identity, relationships, memories, community, coping, crisis, and beyond.
Education & Experience
I graduated from Columbia University with my MSW in 2010 and spent 2 years prior to that working as an intern therapist under supervision. I completed EMDR training in 2018.
