About Me
Nada is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the State of Maryland, USA, psychotherapist and a trauma specialist. Nada earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Johns Hopkins University in 2017. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) from the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) in the US. Nada is trained in multiple evidence based therapeutic modalities including: Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Individual therapy (EFIT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She is also certified in Trauma Treatment with Children and Adolescents from the University of Maryland, School of Social work. Nada has experience working with children from the age of 8, adolescents and adults who are struggling with stress, trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders (including bipolar disorder), high risk suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, attachment disorders and survivors of domestic abuse. Prior to joining Maadi Psychology Center in 2018, Nada was working at INOVA Fairfax hospital’s emergency room as a psychiatric liaison in Virginia, USA. She also interned at a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) with INOVA and at a domestic violence agency.
