About Me

I am a licensed independent social worker with a supervisory designation who received my master’s degree in social work from Cleveland State University and her bachelor’s degree in social work from Capital University. I have previously worked in community agencies and outpatient hospital settings for over 17 years. I have advanced training in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) and have spent most of my career working with those with PTSD and trauma histories. I have been recognized as a certified clinical trauma professional by the International Association of Trauma Professionals and am a member of the EMDR International Association. I have facilitated trauma groups that include issues surrounding domestic violence, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. I work with individuals ages 18 – 65+ who have experienced trauma, deal with grief issues, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, as well as those with addiction issues. When desired, I offer a Catholic/Christian perspective on counseling and have completed and hold a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Heart of Christ/Avila Institute School of Spiritual Direction and Formation. I have also completed the training on Spiritual Trauma and EMDR.
