About Me

The Shirelle’s recorded a song titled, “Mama said there would days like this,” but they probably didn’t imagine this day. Are you experiencing any of the following: Feeling overwhelmed Suffering panic attacks Problems sleeping Headaches or stomach aches Feeling sadness or unmotivated Relationship issues These are often by-products of stressful times and life events. I assist people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, and relationship issues. The good news is that you don’t have to resolve these issues alone. I use evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and Solution Focused Therapy to help you achieve your goals and improve your well-being. You deserve to feel better. Depending on a thorough assessment, clients that work with me may experience the following: A holistic approach Explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors Processing of memories or events that may cause anxiety or depression Improved communication Conflict resolution skills Skills that enhance resilience, coping, and well-being As a counselor, I have been called nurturing and supportive. Counseling is a collaboration. We will work together to achieve your goals. Personal Details: I live in a small town outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve been married to a great guy for 20 years, and we have three amazing kids (who keep us running and in prayer). I became a counselor because I believe in people and the healing relationship. I love when people come back to me and say, “it’s better.” If you want to discuss your counseling needs, please schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
