About Me
I specialize in working with people who have endured trauma, especially because I predominantly work with people who are displaced and have experienced trauma and/or torture. I also work with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and worked closely with people displaced by the December 2021 tornadoes in Western Kentucky as I was the coordinator of a Red Cross mental health grant. I also work with people with depression, anxiety, and those struggling with adjusting to new life transitions. Before my current job, I worked with people experiencing homelessness and with children in crisis.
Education & Experience
I graduated with my Bachelor in Social Work in 2019 from Western Kentucky University (WKU) and with my Master in Social Work from WKU in 2022. As a graduate student, I received the Outstanding Student award.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I lead a multilingual love club at a local high school, lead preventative educational classes to new arrivals of refugees, asylum-seekers, parolees, and other people who are displaced, and a culturally-competent parenting class.
