About Me

I define myself as an IFS informed EMDR therapist. The blend of EMDR and IFS, is a central part of my practice. In my years practicing EMDR, I have learned about the power of neuroplasticity. I find EMDR to be helpful in changing negative beliefs about ourselves into more regenerative beliefs. When something stressful or traumatic happens, we might logically understand that it was not our fault, but the reaction we have when we relive the memory is that we are not good enough. Changing that negative belief is how EMDR can help us heal. It can also help make memories of stressful and traumatic events less disturbing. This can be very powerful when we have been exposed to invalidating environments and we are now replaying parts of that invalidation.

Education & Experience

I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. I have been trained in EMDR), IFS) and DBT among other modalities.
