About Me
Hi! I’m Rachael. I’m a person like you who has experienced many challenging situations throughout my childhood and adult life, some of which did not set me up to thrive. I decided I wanted something different and that my survival through these experiences could help others. This desire led me to discover social work. Over the last 15 years, I have worked hard to help people live a life they can be proud of and help them to obtain the resources and support they need. These experiences taught me that the most meaningful way for people to live and thrive is to confront their past trauma holistically and compassionately. As a result, I became a trauma therapist. I find great passion and fulfillment in guiding people along this journey so they can discover their true selves and create a life worth living. Something personal… I love coffee and Jesus with a passion. My husband is in the Armed Forces, and I have three children so my after-school life is busy! However, I will always squeeze in time for coffee dates, binge-watching the Food Network and romcoms, listening to audiobooks, campaigning with my Dungeons & Dragons crew, and enjoying all of the beauty that Colorado has to offer!
Education & Experience
In 2013, I received my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and in 2019, I obtained my Master of Social Work Degree from Walden University. I am a Colorado Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW – License Number: CSW. 09928478). My experience has varied from working with adults with disabilities, community resource navigation, domestic violence, sexual assault, children’s behavioral health, school counseling, hospice and palliative care, community mental health, and private mental health.
