About Me

Hello and thank you for stopping by! My name is Ruvimbo (meaning, ‘hope’ or ‘faith’ in the Shona language). I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. I am an EMDR Therapist who also enjoys taking an integrative approach in therapy. This allows me to individualize our sessions based on my training, knowledge and your specific needs. My practice considers the biological, psychological, social and spiritual determinants of health. Since 2013, I have been working as a Mental Health Therapist in government settings, non-profit organizations and now, private practice. I have had the joy of working with adolescents and adults, in the areas of expertise listed below. For many people, attending therapy can be a big and difficult decision. I always feel humbled and honoured by the opportunity to be invited into this significant step. I only pray that I continue to steward that privilege well. Working in this field has been nothing short of a blessing and a joy. I look forward to meeting you!
