Mr. Sam Weiss, LCSW

Preferred Name: Sam
About Me
My passion is to help individuals who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. As a trans-man, I find it immensely important to give back to the community through the art of psychotherapy. In addition to working with the LGBTQIA+ community I have worked extensively with individuals who experience PTSD/trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health issues such as Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety
Education & Experience
I graduated from USC with my Masters in Social Work in 2015 and have been licensed since 2018. I offer many different modalities, but I primarily specialize in CBT and EMDR. CBT helps individuals get to the root of their negative beliefs and the behaviors that reinforce these beliefs. EMDR is an evidence-based practice that helps individuals reprocess traumatic events.
