About Me
You are a person of color going through a life transition and finding it more difficult than you imagined. You feel out of place, different from your coworkers, peers, or family members. Stress makes it tough for you to function at your best and you are burnt out. You find yourself feeling depressed, anxious, angry, lonely, or misunderstood. I'm Samar Wahid, a licensed mental health clinician trained in several forms of therapy, including CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I work collaboratively with clients to help them explore how race, culture, and identity affect their lives and relationships and to help them cope with racial and cultural trauma. I bring warmth, humor, and understanding to the therapeutic space and am passionate about helping people of color feel more confident and happy in their lives. If you're ready to make changes, reach out today and we'll tackle it together.
