EMDR Trainer

About Me

Counseling is definitely a calling for me and it is the best way for me to serve others and my community. I have an easy going style and enjoy collaborating with clients to achieve their wellness goals. I’ve gathered many techniques and coping strategies over the past 17 years in practice in order to best resolve mental/emotional/spiritual issues. EMDR has revolutionized my practice over the last 10 years speeding the healing and recovery process, often creating a brief solution focused strategy rather than spending multiple years in therapy. I have a profile on Psychology Today. In my free time I enjoy swing dancing, singing, cooking, creating collages and traveling.

Education & Experience

I have a BFA in Art with an emphasis in painting and drawing from Boise State University 1995. I received my Masters in Counseling in 2005 from Idaho State University/Boise cohort. I completed my EMDR training and supervision in 2012. I have worked at a Psychiatric hospital, a residential adolescent treatment program, and a mental health clinic for many years before choosing to start my own business. I’ve been in private practice for 13 years and loving it.
