About Me
I have over 15 years experience working with depression, eating disorders and anxiety disorders of all kinds. These underlying dysfunctional patterns can take many forms, therefore the treatment approach may vary however evidence based CBT is the most effective treatment in these areas, especially when it is paired in combination with psychodynamic, relational and hypnosis approaches also as needed. Healing is probable, and happens as a result of conscious daily actions and unconscious dynamics that shift as a result of this process. I work with individuals who are ready and willing to change there thinking to heal for life. Using both the top bottom and bottom up approaches, a person seeking treatment will see a shift very quickly in both the conscious behaviours that come with the disorders and the unconscious patterning and belief systems that continue to keep them stuck. Most types of recovery involves working on both levels of cognition for long term, permanent change. I believe pain is a part of life, but suffering is unnecessary. If you are ready for change, please book in for an online session or read more about my counselling methods here: www.mindsighttherapy.ca. If you have further questions I am happy to answer them.
