Education & Experience

I am licensed through the State of Michigan. I received my Masters of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University in 2013. I received my undergraduate degree from Spring Arbor University. I have been employed with Wellspring Lutheran Services for over 16 years. They were also previously named Lutheran Child and Family Services. At Wellspring Lutheran Services I have worked as a Families First worker and supervisor, which is part of the State of Michigan's Family Preservation Program. I have worked as a Foster care mentor for families who are working to gain back custody of their children. I have also worked as a foster care licensing worker. I am a former foster parent and adoptive parent. I have providing social work services in my community for over 20 years. I am trained in using ASSIST strategies for suicide prevention. I am currently trained in EMDR and TF-CBT and Certified in PCIT therapy.
