Stephanie Harris, MA, LPC

About Me

Born in Portland, Oregon, Stephanie spent her formative years falling in love with book nooks, rain and coffee shops. Encouraged by caring parents, Stephanie learned to express her emotions through music at a very young age. She preformed in a wide variety of choirs and musicals alongside her younger brother while in school, and believes that artistic expression is one of the most therapeutic modalities we have as humans. Stephanie met her now husband Christopher back in 2012, and they married and moved to Loveland, Colorado together in 2017. Chris started a woodworking business called “Harris Timberworks” back in 2018 and inspires Steph with his entrepreneurial spirit. Stephanie and Chris both love Jesus and experience him as the Source which sustains them day to day. They have a spunky toddler named Jack and a sweet family dog named Vin. St. Spyridon is their home church, and they cherish having friends and family close by. When Chris and Steph have down time they love playing video games, reading Brandon Sanderson books, playing instruments and making exquisite shots of espresso. They both love chasing Jack around the house, and find loads of joy in this precious season of discovering his little heart and personality.

Education & Experience

In 2013 Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theater at Seattle Pacific University, and in 2017 finished her Master’s degree in Counseling through Colorado Christian University. Stephanie completed her Practicum and internship with Light of the Rockies Christian Counseling Center, and went on to work with them until January of 2022, when Stephanie launched her private practice. Stephanie was trained in EMDR through the Maiberger Institute in Boulder, Colorado in 2021, and is currently pursuing formal certification in EMDR through this Institute. Stephanie is also pursuing certification in Intuitive Eating, to better serve those who struggle with disordered eating, and poor relationship with food and body. With her background in the arts, Stephanie has cultivated a great empathic understanding for others and strives to be fully present in the ‘here-and-now’ with each individual. This allows for a very non-judgmental atmosphere where the individual can feel supported and heard. She enjoys making space for the individual who looks to cultivate a healthier relationship with the self.
