Suzanna de Sanz, LMFT

About Me

We all face challenging moments, where we find ourselves in need of support. As a therapist I am direct, compassionate, and practical. My goal is to help clients gain a sense of balance and fulfillment in their lives. I work collaboratively with clients to explore areas of change, gain insight into patterns, develop practical strategies, and improve relationships with self and others. I have helped clients reduce stress, overcome trauma, navigate transitions, improve communication, and build healthier relationships. I find that a combination of insight and action creates the best therapy outcomes.

Education & Experience

I work from an integrative model, drawing on a variety of theoretical orientations including: Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and utilize these as practical tools to reduce stress and recover from trauma. I work collaboratively with clients to determine the approach that will work best, providing both brief and long-term psychotherapy. I currently offer a hybrid practice of teletherapy and in-person psychotherapy that serves clients throughout the state of California.
