About Me
I'm a clinical psychologist licensed in California, and I've enjoyed working with adults in various settings, including private practice, community centers, and hospitals. I believe that no single method of therapy can meet everyone’s needs. Therefore, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness-based orientations depending on your individual needs and goals. I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an effective treatment for emotional distress resulting from trauma and other disturbing life experiences. Mindfulness-based and cognitive behavioral approaches, which are particularly helpful for treating anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, are also part of my practice. For patients who have difficulty regulating emotions, I utilize techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Additionally, I use Emotionally Focused, and Internal Family System approaches to explore and transform underlying patterns that prevent people from living satisfying lives.
Education & Experience
I’m experienced in individual, couples, and group therapy, as well as in conducting psychological and neuropsychological assessments. I’ve had the opportunity to work extensively with the impact of trauma, depression, anxiety, as well with problems related to anger and shame. I have addressed issues like chronic pain, substance abuse, and the difficulties in relationships. I also love guiding people of all ages as they navigate through important life and career changes. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which are effective techniques for healing trauma and managing overwhelming emotions.. My training in Neuropsychology and cognitive rehabilitation is especially helpful in my work with individuals recovering from Traumatic Brain Injuries, assisting them as they cope with emotional challenges, memory and concentration issues.
