About Me

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist based in Pennsylvania with specialized skills in grief and trauma. As the Founder and CEO of my practice, I aim to quiet the mind and overcome challenges that are interfering with their lives. As we struggle to understand ourselves and the world we live in, we may feel tired, lonely, and helpless. I am here to help! As a Black therapist, my lived experiences have allowed me to use a person-centered approach to be culturally-sensitive and attuned to each person I work with, particularly BIPOC population. I understand that no single approach is the right one for everyone and it is important to tailor the therapy approach to each individual and meet each person where they are. As such, I use various approaches in my practice, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Humanistic Therapy, Integrative/Holistic Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. My resume is colored with a wide variety of experience that profoundly impacts my work with people. A great deal of my professional practice has been working with individuals, groups, couples and families, substance abuse, and LGBTQIA+ populations. I have worked with adults and teens on trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, behavior modification, inner child issues, identity and self-esteem issues, substance abuse, stress and anger management, parent-child interactions, personality disorders, relationship issues, abandonment, and Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) related issues. My style is relaxed, yet structured which is congruent with my personality and everyday way of being. I believe this to be important because I know if I’m not genuine in my interactions with you, then it becomes more challenging for you to be genuine in your interactions with me. This approach allows us to explore how various issues carry over into the rest of your life, and together, we can build a toolkit for success.

I attended Chestnut Hill College for my undergraduate studies in Psychology and, later, pursued my graduate degree at LaSalle University.
