Mrs. Theresa Lynn Huston Flebotte, LCSW
Preferred Name: Terri
About Me
I have always gravitated towards trauma work. EMDR has provided me with the tools to help make healing possible. I am very down to earth and genuine, making me easy to work with. I tend to see humor in even the hardest to find places, which is a gift of mine- I don't care what my husband says.
Education & Experience
My BA is in psychology from the University of Great Falls, in my Montana home town. I then did a year of my master's in Counseling Psychology before I decided to switch to a more marketable MSW degree. I have been very fortunate to have the blend of those educational backgrounds. I spent 10 years working in the hospital- ER, Behavioral Health (inpatient and outpatient), Case management, Dialysis, Cancer Care, etc. Then I went to a low income health clinic for 5 years where I worked with people from pretty low socioeconomic backgrounds with a lot of trauma and addiction issues before going into private practice in 2016.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I spent a few years on the board for the YWCA back home. They manage a shelter for abused women and children. My passion in volunteering is with the homeless population. Since long before I finished school, I have been active in the local homeless community. I currently volunteer twice a month at City Rescue Mission, here in Jacksonville.
