Thea Jardine, RCC
Preferred Name: Thea
About Me
Thea Jardine is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Vancouver. Her main trainings are in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR. Thea also uses a variety of other styles to meet the individual needs of her clients. Thea has worked as a mental health counsellor for over 18 years. Thea has specialized training in counselling for anxiety, depression, identity, and trauma. Thea has also worked closely with people experiencing significant life transitions and grief. Thea helps clients explore the issues that create barriers to wellness and develop solutions and strategies to find more effective ways of coping when they feel stuck. So how do we get “unstuck”? A large part of becoming unstuck is understanding that our lives are always changing. We heal by learning what works and does not work for us. We grow and develop as a situation evolves. To help her clients enjoy lasting change, Thea helps them become more self-aware and learn skills. For example, clients learn how to think differently and relate to others in healthier and more enjoyable ways. To create lasting change, Thea helps clients understand things within a larger context and become more aware of how their thinking patterns can be more productive. The goal is to support clients to being able to independently navigate life's ups and downs.
