Tiffany Somera, LMFT
(she/they)
About Me
Born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, Tiffany is a 2nd generation Filipinx-American. She grew up playing on the beach and lived in a multigenerational household where meal time always felt like a party. Having a connection with her family, deeply humbles her and highlights the importance of community, especially within healing. She spends most of her free time usually out in nature, engaging in DIY home projects, cooking Filipinx food, or spending time with her 5 year old. Tiffany has more than 7 years of clinical experience working at different agencies that support marginalized populations. Previous non-profit agencies that she has worked for includes Ka Hale a Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center, Maui Sexual Assault Center, Maui Youth and Family Services, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service. Her activism in the field has centered around sexual assault/domestic violence advocacy and mental health support. Tiffany is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington state. She actively seeks to improve her therapeutic skills through continued education, training, peer consultation, and supervision. Her recent career path has led her to somatic healing work, specifically Somatic Abolitionism, to support BIBOC folks in her professional and personal spaces.
