About Me

I began my clinical social work career working in inpatient psychiatry at a public hospital in Brooklyn. There, I encountered fellow human beings at their most vulnerable and in their deepest states of need. My experience has been that human connection is primary in creating the conditions within which people heal from all forms of trauma. Work in hospice care, family reunification and community mental health has furthered this conviction. Prior to going into private practice, I provided individual and group therapy on staff at New York University's student counseling center, where I enjoyed working with young adults. Attachment theory underpins my professional values, and I believe strongly in the transformative potential of human relationships.
