About Me
Warm welcome & hello! My name is Sharon, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College. My experience as a clinician includes work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in various professional and volunteer settings. I’ve had a wide range of experience from working in therapeutic day schools, inpatient addictions counseling to navigating cross-cultural challenges, spiritual trauma, and life transitions. I find enjoyment working with people from all walks of life applying a holistic, trauma informed approach to counseling. I use evidence-based and mindfulness-based practices such as EMDR, EMDR-Sandtray, Brainspotting (BSP), and Expressive therapy modalities to promote strengthening and understanding of ones brain-body connection, emotions, and inner story. As a clinician, I’m committed to providing a safe and supportive space in facilitating the process of growth, change, and healing for individuals. I am invested in encouraging people to identify and develop their inner strengths that not only cultivate positive changes but powerful changes in life.
