Overview

EMDRIA offers a discounted rate ($120) to current members who are now retired. Retired Membership includes these Membership Benefits (and voting privileges) except:

  • Does not include a profile listing in the "Find an EMDR Therapist" directory

Payment of membership dues is non-refundable.

EMDRIA Definition of Retirement

EMDRIA considers “retired” members to be no longer active, or have limited activity, in providing mental health or consulting services. Limited activity is considered conducting no more than a total of 5 sessions a week, whether client and/or consultation sessions.

Requirements

  • Must be a current member of EMDRIA who has paid membership dues for at least 7 years. (Years do not need to be consecutive.)
  • Must be at least 65 years of age.
  • Must meet the "EMDRIA Definition of Retirement" as listed above and have no more than a total of 5 client and/or consultation sessions per week.

When you renew EMDRIA membership, the system will offer you the Retired Membership option based on the date you joined EMDRIA and your birthdate. By purchasing this membership, you attest to meeting the EMDRIA Definition of Retirement.
