About Me

I have been in the field of social work in direct practice since 2014. Prior to this I worked in behavioral health doing in home services and then in an inpatient setting. I have a passion for helping others, and believe each of us has the ability to change and grow into our strongest, most resilient self with the right therapeutic relationship and supports. I work with adults primarily, and have a particular interest in supporting women through pregnancy, fertility treatments, perinatal loss, and the postpartum period.

Education & Experience

I received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. I was trained at Western Psychiatric Institute in the UPMC Center for Eating Disorders outpatient program. I was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the Maudsley Family-Based Therapy for Eating Disorders approach by the University of Chicago. While at UPMC at the Center for Eating Disorders, I also worked at Magee Women's Hospital in the Bariatric Suite, conducting psychiatric assessments for individuals preparing for surgery. I continue to work with individuals through various stages of bariatric or behavioral weight loss. My areas of experience are in the treatment of people with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, women’s health, relationship issues, and substance abuse.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

Member of National Association of Social Workers. I also completed two years of continuing training through the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center, with a driving interest in psychodynamic work.
