Approved for 4 EMDRIA Credits

This experiential training introduces a range of Expressive Arts interventions that can be integrated throughout the EMDR therapy process from preparation and resourcing to desensitization and integration. Designed for clinicians who work with clients impacted by complex trauma, dissociation, or difficulties with verbal expression, this workshop emphasizes the power of creative modalities to access, process, and transform traumatic material. Participants will learn how to adapt and sequence arts-based activities within EMDR’s eight-phase model, and how to tailor interventions to meet the developmental, cultural, and neurobiological needs of diverse clients. Special attention will be given to the use of Expressive Arts in stabilizing dissociative clients, strengthening dual awareness, and enhancing access to internal resources.

Presenter: Mary Lauren Fox, LPC, LMFT
