About Me
I am here to listen with empathy as I try to see the world from your view. I want to help you change your unwanted thoughts, feelings, and action. Throughout our lives people go through hard times. Perhaps we were bullied or in a car accident, we had a poor childhood or past abuse. If the event was repetitive or shocking our mind and body gets stuck. Then anything that reminds us of the event brings back the feeling, thoughts anger or pain. When we reprocess the stuck trauma with BLS (EMDR, tappers, or headphones), with the knowledge of the present, we can let go of the feelings of the past. We are left with a sad story without the hurt. Then positive thoughts and feelings are adapted to help us realize we will have moved on. Most depression and anxiety are traced to our past. I can help you get to the root of your issues, and reprocess through it with bilateral stimulation. People hold on to trauma; big T (abuse), or small t, ( getting bullied by your siblings). Once reprocessed our mind is able to put the event in our history and let go of the triggers to facilitate change. I was raised the youngest of eight in a dysfunctional family. I went through physical and verbal abuse growing up which seemed to be the norm in our small town. I became a teen mom and worked in the service industry until I went to counseling and then back to school and got certified in hypnotherapy, then I went to college for my Master's in counseling.
Education & Experience
I graduated with honors from Adams State University in 2022. I completed my internship with Nampa Valley Counseling. I became trained in EMDR, Sept, 2022. I have been using EMDR along with several other techniques with all my clients. I have taken classes in preverbal processing, EMDR and Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy for adults, Ego State, Hypnotherapy, Internal Family systems, Somatic Therapy and I have read many books on EMDR techniques and resource tools to help people contain and separate the issues to process.
