Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is increasingly understood as a condition maintained by maladaptively stored threat memories, hyper-responsibility cognitions, and shame-based emotion regulation deficits. This online course synthesizes current neurobiological insights, the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model that supports EMDR therapy, advanced Exposure and Ritual Prevention (ERP) techniques, and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) methods.
Through a mix of didactic teaching, demonstrations, dyadic practice, and collaborative consultation, participants will learn to develop integrated treatment plans, sequence EMDR, ERP, and CFT interventions, involve partners and carers to reduce accommodation, and incorporate structured self-care routines.
