About Me
If you’re the kind of person who gets told, “But you’re so strong,” yet privately feels like you’re white-knuckling your way through every day, you’re in the right place. I work with high performers, first responders, and people who spent their childhoods thinking, “Something was off,” but didn’t realize until adulthood that what they were living with was actually trauma. I’m an LCSW and LCADC, EMDR-trained with advanced training in dissociation, attachment trauma, crisis response, and the DeTUR protocol for addictions and urge reduction / compulsive coping (yes—shopping, gambling, scrolling, sex, avoidance… all of it). I’ve spent over a decade working with high-risk populations, law enforcement (local, state, and federal), military, foster care, substance use, first generation & immigrant families, and high-level executives and entrepreneurs. Basically, if you’re the person everyone else expects to “have it together,” I know what that pressure does to your nervous system. My style? Think older sister energy—but the kind that will call you out &and then sit with you in the mud while you figure out what’s actually going on. I’m not the rainbows-and-sunshine type. I’m direct, a little spicy, and I’ll tell you the truth with compassion, sarcasm when appropriate, and unwavering respect for the science behind why you feel what you feel. Most of my clients come in saying things like: “I can’t turn my brain off.” “I’m always bracing for something bad.” “I excel at work, but my relationships feel distant.” “I’m highly competent but never feel connected.” “People say I’m not doing enough, but I’m maxed out and no one sees it.” And the stuff almost no one says out loud? “I’m terrified I’ll become my abuser.” “I’m scared I’ll never be good enough.” “What if no one ever really loves me and I end up alone?” If any of that hit a nerve, you’re not broken—you’re traumatized. There’s a difference. And science actually has answers. I use EMDR (including EMD for rapid relief on current triggers), attachment-focused protocols, somatic exercises, and unconventional coping strategies you might not have realized were tools, to help you process what happened, resolve what’s stuck, and finally feel like you can breathe without waiting for impact. My work is thorough, strategic, evidence-based, and very human. For clients who are ready to dig deep, I also offer EMDR Intensives—ideal if you’re busy, burnt out, or simply done stretching therapy out for years. Intensives let you drop in fully, do focused reprocessing, and walk away with measurable internal shifts rather than chipping away slowly week by week. They’re not easy. They’re emotional, demanding, and require your full commitment. My office is warm, cozy, and intentionally designed for hard work—comfortable seating, calming environment, and yes, a mini fridge fully stocked with beverages and snacks because trauma work is hard & we might be here a while. I’m currently accepting a limited number of weekly clients and scheduling EMDR Intensives for Q1 2026 on a first-come, first-serve basis. I don’t participate with insurance, but I can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement (note: intensive sessions are not reimbursable). If you’ve made it this far, trust that something in you is ready for change. You’ve survived things you never should have had to survive. You built an entire life while carrying things your nervous system was never meant to carry alone. You’re not here because you’re weak—you’re here because you’re done doing it the hard way. When you’re ready, reach out. Let’s get to work.
