About Me

With warmth, empathy, and a holistic approach, I aim to provide you a safe, non-judgmental space to strengthen your relationship with yourself and the world around you. While pain and suffering are inevitable parts of life, I believe all humans are innately capable of healing and growth. I work with adults of all ages, but my passion lies in supporting women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community in healing from trauma. I am trained and currently working towards full certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and use somatic (body-based) and mindfulness practices to help you feel more grounded, connected to yourself, and better able to regulate your nervous system. I believe the past deeply influences the present, and together we’ll explore long-standing patterns and beliefs that may be shaping your current experience. At the heart of trauma healing is a trusting, secure, and supportive relationship, and I strive to offer that to every one of my clients. Our therapeutic relationship itself is an important tool in the healing process, and I’ll actively use our connection to help you feel unstuck, seen, and empowered. I believe therapy has something to offer everyone, and that investing in yourself in this way is a profound act of care. The journey toward healing can feel scary, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’ll be by your side every step of the way.

Education & Experience

I have always been drawn to helping trauma survivors move through their experiences toward healing. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, with a specialization in Psychological Trauma Studies. My clinical work began at Antioch Clinical Therapy Services, where I provided free individual and group therapy during the pandemic. After graduating, I continued my trauma-focused work at Reconnect Integrative Trauma Treatment Center. There, I had my first exposure to using bilateral stimulation tools and saw firsthand the profound healing that can occur when they are combined with somatic approaches. I later transitioned toward private practice through group practice settings, first at Okay Humans and then at Stori, before opening my own practice, Roni Silberstein Therapy. I now work full-time in private practice, serving primarily women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and trauma survivors, supporting them in their journeys toward integration and healing.
