Preferred Name: Maksym
About Me
I am an EMDR therapist, neuropsychologist, and clinical psychologist with extensive experience supporting individuals dealing with trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, loss, fears, and the aftermath of sexual violence. My therapeutic approach emphasizes gentle acceptance, compassion, and focused outcomes, aiming to restore clients to emotional health and wellbeing without prolonged treatment. I have significant experience working with individuals affected by war and forced migration, providing empathetic and effective psychological support. Sessions are available in Ukrainian and Russian.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master's degree in Psychology at Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University and completed postgraduate specialization in Clinical Psychology, along with advanced training in Child Neuropsychology. Certified as an EMDR practitioner by EMDRIA (2023-2024, Trainer: Mark Nickerson), I have been actively working in child neuropsychology since 2013, focusing on developmental challenges such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome. My private practice primarily serves women aged 18-50 experiencing issues related to trauma, abusive relationships, anxiety, PTSD, complex PTSD, personality disorders, relationship loss, and difficulties associated with migration or expatriation.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
While not currently affiliated with formal professional organizations, I actively provide volunteer online group EMDR sessions aimed at supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine.
