Ruth Patton, LCSW

About Me

Psychotherapy is a midlife career course correction. It marries my passion for catalyzing growth with my professional experiences in using empathy and communication skills to build relationships. Social work’s strengths-based perspective aligns perfectly with my innate optimism, and my drive to rectify social and economic inequalities is mirrored in the values of my profession.

Education & Experience

Since earning my degree, I've worked in outpatient clinics with older teens, adults, and couples in the Minneapolis metro area and in Idaho. I also served for two years on the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare's Adult Mental Health crisis team -- a rewarding, challenging, and humbling experience. I'm now enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of a private practice ... while ensuring high standards of care with regular consultation.
