Research Support Group
This moderated discussion group was established June 28, 1999 by the EMDRIA Research Committee to provide peer consultation and support for those active in, or planning to engage in, research involving or related to EMDR. It's generally a "low volume" listserv, with weekly announcements of some grant funding opportunities and other research resources. However, periodically a researcher (including graduate students and first-time practitioner-researchers) will throw out a question related to planning or conducting a research study (e.g., choosing a research design, selecting measures for a study, obtaining sample consent forms, etc.) and receive responses from other EMDR researchers.
Eligibility for Participation
Track record of research/publication in EMDR or a related area; OR a stated intention to pursue same. Graduate students and clinicians who are embarking on their first research endeavor are welcome. Membership in EMDRIA is not required.
How to Join
Please email Nicole Evans to be added to the EMDRIA Research Group.
Rules of Conduct
1) This is intended as a SUPPORT group. Thus, we expect civility, supportive/constructive comments and responses, etc. Although we are open to participants with a variety of opinions, this is not a forum for debating EMDR's validity or for attacking others on the list. Ad hominum attacks will not be tolerated.
The moderator is responsible for interpreting and implementing these policies and rules, including any disciplinary action as needed. Any comments about these rules should be directed to the moderator, and any appeal of the moderator's decisions should also be directed to the moderator, who may choose to consult with the research committee in special circumstances. When the moderator will be absent from the list for a significant period of time, she/he may designate an "acting" moderator.
Moderator: Ricky Greenwald, Psy.D.
