Education & Experience

My education has been experiential and academic. I grew up with two childhoods: one as a military dependent and then from age 13, on a cattle ranch in southern Idaho. Even then other kids shared their problems with me. I took that nature into a degree in education and taught biological sciences and literature. Then a graduate degree in psychology, work as a psychologist in a mental hospital and outpatient clinic, and then into private practice as an Individual, Couples and Family Therapist (LMFT). I've been around long enough to study and be experienced in many different approaches: Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Parts work, Transactional Analysis, Hypnosis, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, and especially EMDR. I’ve had a parallel career in body work as a Certified Rolfer and Advanced Rolfer.
