EMDR International Association Credit can be awarded to anyone who attends a workshop offering EMDR International Association Credit. EMDR International Association Credit can only be used by those who are fully trained in EMDR (i.e. have completed an EMDR International Association approved basic training). Twelve (12) EMDR International Association Credits are required for first time Certification and Approved Consultant applicants and also for those who want to maintain their Certification or Approved Consultant status.
No. If a participant repeats a workshop, they cannot use that same exact workshop towards their application or renewal. So for example, if a participant attended Treating Trauma with EMDR Therapy on January 9, 2018 with presenter Joe Johnson and received 6 EMDR International Association Credits, the participant cannot retake that same workshop with the same presenter and use their attendance at both workshops to apply or renew their Certification or Approved Consultant status.
