About Me
I’m a trauma therapist specializing in maternal/perinatal mental health, women's health issues, chronic illness, infertility, life transitions, anxiety, pregnancy, military and veteran issues, childhood trauma, birth trauma, parenting issues, and adoption trauma. I show up to each session as my authentic self because I know it is important for you to trust and relate to your therapist. I also want to break the myth that any person is perfect or immune to triggers. Living life after trauma is really hard! Let’s build your coping strategies, improve the way you navigate relationships, and break cycles.
Education & Experience
I attended Florida State University for my Masters in Clinical Social Worker. I am trained in multiple cognitive and somatic therapies to help treat trauma and help improve the mind body connection. Some of the trainings include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback (HRV), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Guided Imagery, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, Positive Psychology, Trained Clinical Trauma Specialist, and Mindfulness. I am also a Qualified Clinical Supervisor providing supervision to social workers seeking licensure in the state of Florida. In my professional career, I've done a lot of different things besides being a therapist. I worked in the school system, foster care/ adoptions system, acute care hospital setting, Emergency Department, Veterans Affairs, and I supervised several outpatient mental health clinics. I gained knowledge in every position that I have held. I am passionate about helping you overcome any barriers that are preventing you from leaving maladaptive coping strategies in the past.
