Monica Shire, LCPMH
About Me
Monica brings over 23 years of experience as an early childhood professional, serving children and families in various roles such as therapist, international adoption social worker, and nature-based educator. Monica enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan on a wide range of topics. Monica employs a holistic approach, helping clients achieve mental, physical, and spiritual balance through various modalities, including EMDR and Neurofeedback.
Education & Experience
Monica is certified in PCIT, EMDR, Adoption Competency and Nature-informed therapy. She received her B.S. in education from the University of Idaho in 1993, and her M.A. in Counseling from Liberty University (VA) in 2002 and in 2011 she earned a Master’s Certification in Educational Leadership from the University of Delaware. Dr. Shire earned her Ed.D in 2022 at the University of Delaware where her research centered around Nature-based Education Professional Development for Reducing Children’s Sedentary Screen Life.
