About Me

I often work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, and complex trauma, especially attachment trauma rooted in early relationships. Many of my clients struggle with negative self-talk, unhelpful beliefs about the world, and feeling "stuck" in patterns as a result of their trauma. They're seeking deeper healing and are ready to explore their inner world. My clients value a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where they can build trust, develop self-compassion, and create lasting emotional resilience. They are looking to address trauma, seek support in meeting goals, and explore their mental health to empower themselves. I allow clients to choose the pace and direction of therapy. I use an eclectic style using various therapy modalities. I primarily approach problems from a trauma-focused lens and help clients explore how past experiences are effecting their present circumstances using attachment-based and psychodynamic interventions. I also use EMDR therapy in trauma work. I've lived in New Mexico my whole life and was raised throughout various areas of the state. I'm half Native American and I grew up on the Laguna Pueblo and Ohkay Owingeh reservations. Due to my Native American heritage and growing up on the reservation, I'm familiar with the culture and needs of these communities, though I work well with members of all communities.

Education & Experience

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University of New Mexico and went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work Practice from New Mexico Highlands University. I have been a practicing therapist since 2017. My professional journey began in individual and family therapy working with children, teenagers, and families in a treatment foster care setting. These early experiences laid the foundation for my dedication to helping people through complex emotional and relational issues. Later, I transitioned into an outpatient group practice, where I worked with both teenagers and adults facing a variety of mental health concerns. In 2023, I launched Desert Magnolia Therapy, my private practice where I continue to support teenagers and adults on their path to healing and personal growth.
