About Me
I believe in helping people build a life worth living, not just surviving. We often struggle most when we are lacking balance in our lives - and I believe that applies to all things, particularly in the way we view ourselves and the world around us. I have experience working with a variety of concerns including: anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, identity concerns, trauma, borderline personality disorder, substance use problems, and life transitions - all with a focus on building healthy coping skills to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and improve mindfulness.
Education & Experience
I completed my masters in counseling psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2014. I have been in private practice since 2018. I am experienced in the use of DBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and interpersonal interventions to help individuals manage symptoms, heal trauma, and learn new ways of coping and interacting to improve stability in their lives. I value a collaborative and strength-based approach to mental health care and ultimately hold the belief that transformation is possible!
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a member of the Nebraska Counseling Association, EMDRIA (working toward certification), and am also working on becoming a certified Intuitive Eating counselor.
