EMDRIA member Elaine Wynn, LP is celebrated in the SunPost article “Dog Tags Not Required” written by Larry Johnson. Elaine works primarily with veterans and service members and is known for establishing the Veterans Resilience Project, an organization that provides free EMDR therapy to Minnesota veterans (not dependent on discharge status), service members, and spouses.

EMDR therapy is being offered to police officers in Moore, OK. This Oklahoma News 4 news bulletin “Moore Police Department Offering EMDR Trauma Therapy to Officers” discusses Chief Gibson’s positive experience with EMDR therapy and the mental health liaison’s opinion that EMDR therapy is “the gold standard” for trauma therapy. The article states “after a few officers had successful therapy sessions, word got around the department fast.”

The Pennsylvania State Department of Health partnered with the University of Pittsburgh to train eligible mental health clinicians in EMDR therapy for free. The DHS Secretary states: ““By partnering with the University of Pittsburgh to offer certifications for this innovative EMDR therapy, we are giving mental health providers additional tools to help Pennsylvanians struggling with mental health,” she said. “I encourage all eligible Medicaid mental health providers to apply for this certification.”
