Many trauma therapists struggle when it comes to deciding on how to proceed with trauma work, since some cases never seem stable enough. A progressive approach in working with traumatic memories may be implemented safely but case conceptualization is key to understand when and how to adapt. A specific case conceptualization for simple and complex dissociative disorder cases will be introduced and described through case examples.
- Participants will be able to describe how to conceptualize cases.
- Participants will be able to identify at least 4 relevant aspects to keep in mind when to adapt trauma reprocessing.
- Participants will be able to apply a guide for conceptualizing complex trauma related cases.
