Course Description
EMDR Therapist are tasked with responding to a wide variety of disasters. Are you prepared to go beyond day-to-day EMDR clinical practice and into disaster response work? Prepare before we are faced with the unexpected – much like being ready to change a flat tire, perform CPR or apply First Aid. Disaster Responders are positioned both as volunteers in Trauma Response Networks, and paid positions in a wide range of settings. In this program, we will explore an EMDR Framework of protocols. This includes individual, group, and a blend of both that are currently being applied in clinical and disaster response work. The intended purpose of this program is to enable this framework to be leveraged quickly and effectively into diverse and unexpected situations. By the end of this program, you will have 3-4 implementable ideas of clear steps you can take to improve your disaster response preparedness.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to identify EMDR Therapy protocols, procedures and techniques applied in individual and group format which are useful in early intervention AIP work. Describe their designed purpose.
