About Me
Abby Howard, MSW, LCSW, CPCC, is a humanistic psychotherapist in Boulder County. As a white, cisgender, able-bodied, middle-class, small-fat, queer woman she strives to be aware of how her identity shapes the way she sees the world and how she works with clients. Utilizing a culturally responsive and person-centered approach to psychotherapy, Abby is committed to creating equitable spaces for her clients to be fully seen, understood and held with empathy and positive regard.
Education & Experience
Abby has over 10 years of experience as a professional social worker and is trained is a certified EMDR therapist specializing in PTSD, chronic pain, and body image. She has received training in body-positive psychotherapy from The Body Positive, and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach through Co-Active Training Institute. She received her Master of Social Work from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.
