About Me

Agata works alongside adults looking for relief from new stressors or long-standing challenges. Her focus includes psychological trauma/PTSD and addiction. Agata also has an interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, dissociation and/or living with personality disorders. Agata views therapy as a collaborative process rooted in respect, compassion, and patience. She believes it is meant to elicit your strengths and build resilience to increase a sense of control in your life. Agata approaches therapy by cultivating a non-judgmental space for your self-exploration and pursuit of goals. Agata provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions focusing on thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. She is a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist, an EMDR Consultant In Training (CIT), and offers EMDR Intensives. Agata is formally trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Clinical Hypnosis; she is currently training to become a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. Agata approaches her therapeutic relationships with an anti-oppressive, culturally-humble, attachment and polyvagal-informed foundation. EMDR Therapy is an extensively researched model of psychotherapy that understands our brain’s natural way of recovering from traumatic memories and events. EMDR Intensives tap into this powerful healing effect and can be extremely effective in reducing symptoms of lifelong stress and/or trauma memories in a shorter amount of time. Agata offers EMDR Intensives in person only. Please contact her and the two of you will discover if this treatment fits your needs.
