About Me

I am a psychotherapist with practices in Washington and California. Some of the feedback I receive from current and previous clients is that I help them find the information and answers from within. For people who may feel powerless, confused or lack an understanding of their challenges or personhood receiving guidance and learning tools to better know oneself can be enormously stabilizing. I take an active, strength-based approach, believing humans have an innate capacity to heal and transform themselves. I take time to get to know what is important to my clients and the cultural factors and conditioning that influence their experience. I aim to be cognizant of my own biases and conditioning so I can be accountable to myself and my clients. I am influenced by many years of meditation which effects how I sit with clients. When relevant I offer practices related to mindfulness and meditation. I appreciate out of the box thinking and perspectives in life. Topics that may be considered taboo, embarrassing or shame inducing are welcome in my office. I offer an open and compassionate stance when facing such issues and often support clients in cultivating that within themselves.
