When people hear that I am a trauma therapist, most will say that they will never come to see anyone like me. They say we live in the US, so our troubles or traumas are not as bad as others in this world. Just remember, it is not a serious event that may traumatize us, but how we understand or perceive that event. And it doesn't matter where we live or how fortunate we may be.
