About Me
Hello! I'm a licensed clinical social worker and work with adults 18+ and seniors 65+. When getting to know new clients, it's important to me to show curiosity, empathy and positive regard. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy and I work hard to make my clients feel seen and understood. My favorite interventions include grounding and self-compassion exercises. Further, we will work on the development of more resource, safety and clear communication skills including boundary work. In addition, I recently finished EMDR training. My goal is for you to feel less alone with your struggles. My areas of specialization include childhood trauma, church hurt and queer issues. Further, I have experience working with loss and grief and life transitions. I'm a member of the LGBTQ+ community and offer an inclusive, safe and accepting space. My practice is sex-positive, gender-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming and anti-racist.
Education & Experience
I have an LMSW from Texas State University. I opened my counseling practice two years ago and previously worked as a medical, psychiatric and hospice social worker.
