About Me
Alyssa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a concentration in mental health, from Southern Connecticut State University. She went on to obtain her Master’s in Social Work from Quinnipiac University. Alyssa has extensive experience working with young adults in various settings, who struggle with a variety of symptoms stemming from anxiety, depression, complex trauma, dissociation, personality disorders and substance use. Using a genuine non-judgmental and collaborative approach based in attachment theory, Alyssa is dedicated to providing effective trauma informed treatment. Alyssa values honesty, transparency, and consistency in her work as a therapist. Alyssa’s vast knowledge and experience allow her to creatively integrate a variety of modalities and implement interventions that are specific to the needs of each individual client she works with. These modalities include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Alyssa will walk beside you offering compassionate support and guidance as you lead the direction of your personal healing journey.
