About Me

I am a licensed therapist and certified mental performance consultant with a strong calling to empower others with the knowledge, awareness, and skills needed to navigate life on their own terms. Using holistic and evidence-based approaches, I draw from mindfulness, EMDR therapy, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to assist you in creating a plan that is specific to your needs and values.

Education & Experience

In addition to earning my MA in Counseling and PhD in Educational Psychology, I have completed specialized training in EMDR therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, DBT skills, nonviolent communication, and performance enhancement. My clinical experience has focused on supporting adolescents, teens, and adults experiencing depression and anxiety, bereavement and loss, trauma and PTSD, relationship conflict, and life transitions. I also have extensive experience working with athletes and performers at all levels of competition, including elite youth sailing, lacrosse, and beach volleyball, NCAA Division 1 softball, military adaptive sports and tactical athletes, and Olympic and Paralympic throwing, wrestling, triathlon, and cycling.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Psychological Association (APA), Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), and EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). In addition to my work in private practice, I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Western States.
