About Me
Hi, my name is Amanda! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kentucky. I have a passion for working with adults along their healing journey. Therapy can be hard, awkward, and messy, but it's also where all of the magic happens self-discovery, growth, and healing. I love utilizing EMDR therapy with my clients to assist them on their journey of healing from past experiences. In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband, family, and dog, Sadie Jo! I also try to spend as much of my time traveling around the world to fill up my cup!
Education & Experience
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminology from Western Kentucky University. I obtained my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Campbellsville University in 2021. I also completed my basic training in EMDR therapy in 2021 and have been practicing ever since. I completed my EMDR certification program through the Personal Transformation Institute in December 2024. I have experience working in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, and private practice.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I will be volunteering with the Hand of Hope program in Thailand to offer mental health services to the community of Chang Mai in March of 2025, and I am so excited about this opportunity!
