I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts. I have telehealth agreements with the States of Florida and Idaho. I offer in person and telehealth appointments in Alabama and telehealth sessions in the other states.
Education & Experience
Ed.S, Counseling, UAB, August 2004 MA, Counseling, UAB, May 2002 I have over 24 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced various traumatic events, including abuse/neglect, medical trauma, car accidents, and natural disasters. Many of my clients have experienced complex trauma and pre-verbal trauma. I completed the EMDR Child Specialist and EMDR Sandtray Specialist trainings under Ana Gomez. I have completed multiple attachment-focused EMDR trainings, as well as other trainings focused on providing EMDR to children. In addition to treating trauma, I have successfully used EMDR to treat phobias, especially emetophobia (vomiting phobia) and phobias re: driving.
